In partnership with MCCC and the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters, we plan to set up experiential learning stations around the CTE Building. We will begin the event by introducing those in the apprenticeship arena at both the college and local high schools. We will then do a brief overview of registered apprenticeships in the area, intermediaries, how to get involved, and the next steps for both employers and students to be connected. The event will be held in an open house format, with students having hands-on opportunities at stations. The event concludes with tours of the CTE building and equipment and possibly a few local union reps and employer booths who may be on display that evening, connecting students with local opportunities.
