    We are honored to welcome Bladensburg High School to Dulles Airport on May 2, 2024. Bladensburg’s CTE program has been a pipeline for MWAA to find amazing apprentices. We currently have numerous graduates from their Career and Technical Education program as apprentices including Apprentice Trailblazer Jonathan Viera. The attendees are the Career and Technical Education second-year carpentry and electrical students. They are 11th and 12th graders from Bladensburg High School in Prince George’s County, MD along with their teachers and administrators.

    On Friday, May 3, 2024, the MWAA Apprentices along with our police and fire departments will visit the WISH Center in the Hybla Valley Area of Fairfax County. During our time Skilled Trades Apprenticeship program and work with Middle Schoolers to build small projects. This is an awareness campaign for the Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program and for the WISH Center Apprenticeship Readiness Program.
