MPS one of more than 6,500 Youth Apprenticeship employers across Wisconsin. During the inaugural National Youth Apprenticeship Week, DWD and its partners are visiting with employers including MPS to highlight the program's record-breaking participation and expansive occupational pathways. Attendees will participate in a roundtable discussion, tour two school-based work sites, and have an opportunity to speak with mentors and apprentices.

    Valley Career & Technical Center is a top Career and Technical Education Center in the Shenandoah Valley and one of 9 regional centers in Virginia. VCTC provides high-quality technical education and career preparation to meet the needs of today’s high school students and adults. Through their Adult and Continuing Education Departments, students can take part in various programs from GED preparation to highly technical apprenticeship training. VCTC provides students an opportunity to participate in Youth Apprenticeship programs (YAP). These programs serves youth, ages 16–24, and combine technical classroom instruction with paid work experience with local employers. They provide the foundation for young people to choose multiple career pathways: enroll in college, begin employment, or a combination.
