Access Point helps talented young individuals from underrepresented communities overcome barriers to technology careers and empowers them to reach their full potential. Their HyperCare model, incorporated into their registered apprenticeship program, involves staff working hands-on with potential apprentices as early as their freshman year in high school, forming connections with participants and their families and offering practical assistance to ensure program completion.     Description

    The Youth Services Advisory Council (YSAC) (also known as the Youth Services Commission) is appointed by the County Board of Commissioners and advises the Commissioners regarding youth service needs within the County. The Youth Services Advisory Council is comprised of community stakeholders appointed by the County Board of Commissioners to oversee the planning and development of community-based programs and services such as apprenticeship for youth at-risk, or youth already involved in the juvenile Justice System. These programs and services are funded through State Community Partnership, Family Court, and Innovation Grant dollars.
