This section provides apprentices with the fundamentals of Registered Apprenticeship and how to succeed in their programs.
- Getting to Know Your Registered Apprenticeship - This module serves to help provide incoming apprentices with an understanding of what to expect as you embark on your apprenticeship journey, as well as a brief overview of some of the benefits and advantages of participating in a Registered Apprenticeship program.
- Strategies for Success as An Incoming Apprentice - This module provides strategies for success for Apprentices beginning their Registered Apprenticeship. Topics include being your personal best, working as a team player, and representing your company as a champion.
This section provides an overview of apprentices’ rights and responsibilities including their right to a discrimination free environment.
- Know Your Rights - This training will provide the apprentice with basic knowledge of their rights in the Registered Apprenticeship Program. Every apprentice has the right to work in a discrimination-free and harassment-free environment. Apprentices will learn what is considered a protected group and their rights to file a complaint of discrimination or harassment. Lastly, an apprentice with a disability will learn how to voluntarily self-identify and how to file for accommodation.
- Promoting an Anti-Harassment Environment - This training addresses harassment in any company, emphasizing that it can happen to anyone. It covers recognizing unlawful behavior, defining harassment, taking appropriate action as a target or witness, reporting incidents, and understanding the consequences of retaliation. Harassment includes offensive language, discrimination, and creating a hostile work environment based on protected characteristics. See tip sheet for more information.
- Equal Employment Opportunity in Registered Apprenticeship Program for Individual with Disabilities: A Guide for Apprentices - This 18-minute video is a quick guide for apprentices, focusing on EEO regulations for individuals with disabilities. Included is a review of what a disability is, how to self-identify a disability, and examples of reasonable accommodations an apprentice can request. Additionally, the video features insights from an individual who shares their experience as an apprentice with a disability.
- Working with Mentors in Your Registered Apprenticeship - This module introduces the importance of mentorship in registered apprenticeship programs. Registered apprentices will learn about mentorship and ways to build positive relationships with mentors.

- GI Bill for Apprentices - This module will provide the regulatory basis for GI Bill benefits in Registered Apprenticeship. You will also learn about the dollar amount of GI Bill benefits available in Registered Apprenticeship programs, and how to identify programs that have been approved for GI Bill benefits.
