Event Description

The Elkhart County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, in conjunction with Horizon Education Alliance and CareerWise Elkhart County, developed a Paralegal Youth Apprenticeship Program, approved by the DOL, in 2021. The competency based program is the first of its kind to receive national recognition from the United States Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship for the Paralegal Youth Career Path. On November 17, 2023, during National Apprenticeship Week, we will celebrate Bianca Jimenez-Ortiz, the first youth in the United States to receive the Paralegal Youth Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion.
