Event Description

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), and Women’s Bureau will uplift the construction industry’s apprenticeship programs to amplify economic opportunities around OFCCP’s designated Mega Construction Projects. The webinar will recognize the importance of advancing access and equity for America's workers interested in the trades and infrastructure. OFCCP will explain how federal contractors involved in the Mega Construction Projects have a utilization goal of recruiting from historically underrepresented communities. ETA will provide an overview of apprenticeship programs, available resources, and Job Corps program. The Women’s Bureau will introduce their Women in Apprenticeship and Non-Traditional Occupations (WANTO) Grant and Equity Module Toolkit.
