Event Description

The University of Illinois System's Clinical Laboratory Development Program hosts a webinar on Empowering Healthcare: Bridging Gaps and Building Futures with OneLab Network. Rhiannon Clifton, Senior Director of the CLDP, will discuss the shortage of clinical diagnostic laboratory personnel directly impacts the quality of healthcare services, patient outcomes, and the healthcare system's ability to respond to emerging health challenges and technological advancements effectively. To address this shortage, the University of Illinois System is launching the Clinical Laboratory Development Program (CLDP), an apprenticeship program for gaining hands-on clinical laboratory experience. The goal of the program is to expand the pipeline of diverse candidates and maintain a robust and responsive healthcare infrastructure. Attendees will learn how they can help support this program and find resources to support their organization’s personnel shortages.
