Event Description

The South Dakota Registered Apprenticeship Program Community of Practice will host a panel on November 8th at the Ramkota in Pierre, SD to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week and launch this newly formed community. The Start Today SD Apprenticeship Program has formed and challenged a volunteer core group of high school, post-secondary, and industry professionals to design, implement, and support a community to amplify the work done by the SD Department of Labor. The vision of the SD Community of Practice is to cultivate a dynamic and interconnected network of stakeholders committed to driving excellence, innovation, and economic growth through apprenticeship initiatives. Their mission is to bring together diverse stakeholders including employers, educators, government agencies, community organizations, and apprentices themselves, to collaborate in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of apprenticeship programs across the state.
