Southern California Apprenticeship Network (SCAN)

The Southern California Apprenticeship Network (SCAN) is an employer-led consortium of partners interested in growing/expanding apprenticeship. The Network is working to provide a forum where business, government, educators, workforce boards, community-based organizations, labor, and other interested parties can come together to share information, access resources and work together to grow apprenticeship programs across Southern California and the State.

Those who want to learn more about the benefits of apprenticeship as a strategic workforce recruiting, training and development model should attend.

Attendees will:

• Hear from employers using apprenticeships and what has helped them succeed in closing skills gaps
• Hear from apprentices about their experiences and how apprenticeship has focused their career pathways
• Hear from elected and appointed officials leading the way for work-based learning, including apprenticeships and employer incentives across California

Listen to state and local educators and apprenticeship intermediaries, and gain an understanding about why this may be an ideal hiring and training strategy for your organization. Network with others engaged in apprenticeship and connect with those providing services and financial resources to support apprenticeship

This event is designed to bring together attendees from all over Southern California, and it offers a unique opportunity for both in-person and virtual participation to accommodate everyone's preferences. While we have limited in-person space available, we warmly welcome and encourage employers to join us in person if possible.
