Event Description

Michigan is home to nearly 22,000 active apprentices in a variety of industries. Oakland County employers interested in launching their own Registered Apprenticeship Program to separate themselves in the race to build a talented workforce are invited to a special workshop and panel discussion hosted by Oakland County Michigan Works! In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, join us on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to hear from experts from the U.S. Department of Labor, the Workforce Intelligence Network, Oakland County Michigan Works! and companies successfully utilizing these resources. Representatives will share important information on the benefits of Registered Apprenticeship Programs and why they are growing in popularity. Attend to receive an overview of the steps involved in launching your own program to nurture talent, including how an intermediary can help facilitate the administrative process of starting and maintaining such an apprenticeship program.
