Event Description

Soulcial Kitchen, creators of the nations first Food Truck Apprenticeship Program Regulated through the Department of Labor, celebrates its second cohort of program participants. The innovative program provides training and hands-on experience for cooks and would be entrepreneurs who are looking to break into the food truck business with intentionality and a supportive group of peer partners. The program consists of 2,500 hours of comprehensive training, including 250 hours of work experience. Topics covered include safety and sanitation, food-truck kitchen operations, kitchen management, menu development, profit and loss fundamentals, legal concepts and requirements, and leadership training. At the end of of the program, all participants receive credit for their work and a national certification via the US Department of Labor.
